Enjoying my textbook prior to my very first ever college course after over 21 years in management with a legal advertising agency. Cannot wait to start actual assignments because this book intrigues me. It is very interesting and helpful to anyone desiring to improve their reading and writing skills. I read and reread paragraphs in order to fully absorb the material and prepare to apply what I am learning toward future assignments. I believe this book will provide a strong foundation for any college student or person who needs to write a lot.
Using this class in a class titled "Random Business Models", enjoying it quite a bit, and learning the application of various models involving probability and the like, and using related software, QM POM, Excel Data Analysis, etc. Basically it's the applied side of the finite mathematics and statistics classes I've had, in a business context.
Make sure you are not buying the International Edition of this book.In my incompetence, I couldn't read the little red part on the picture of the book. When I received it says something along the lines of, "Circulation of the edition outside the Indian subcontinent is UNAUTHORIZED".So, yes make sure!!!
This is a hard course if you do not have an engineering type mind. The book could elaborate a bit more, especially when you do not have access to the online course material.

Typical text book, teaches you how to do problem solving via excel. very useful for the operations manager who needs to decide how much product to run or buy.
The book was in like new condition. It still had the scratch off key to download software to solve some of the problems in Excel. I am a production supervisor who is going back to college. This is a great read if you are a manager/supervisor that wants to hone your skills.
